Synopsis:

“Series of Actions” focuses on the origins of the idea of film archiving in Thailand that is linked to the complex web of socio-political. Through exploring the body of work of Dome Sukvong, the founder of Thai Film Archive, including his essays, books, letters, memoirs, and reports.

 

Chaikitiporn brings back Sukvong's archival materials to be re-reading by the voices of Thai Film Archive staff. Combined with the oldest moving images in Thailand from Topical Film Service of Royal State Railways, the national film production centre during the absolute monarchy era, which Sukvong discovered in 1981, and led to the labour for the dream of establishing a Film Archive in Thailand.
